Nickleback announces new album

The popular Canadian rock band Nickleback announced a new album today. Chad Kroegar reports that the theme behind the album, which is as yet untitled, is popular canadian songs. Kroegar is quoted as saying "yeah, fuck, we love canadian tunes, man. I sit there in my pickup truck and hear a song and say 'fuck, yeah, that's a good bass line.' I thought about it and decided that there are a bunch of fuckin' good songs out there that are Canadian that Nickleback could make a bit more awesome." The new album will consist entierly of covers of previous canadian hits. The band isn't willing to release a full list of songs as of yet, but Kroegar was kind enough to reveal the lead single. "Yeah, fuck, it's gonna be 'never kissed a girl' by the tragically hip. Only, in the nickleback version, we sing 'thirty eight years old, yeah, ain't never punched a bitch.'"
