Run with the Kittens

How do I even begin to describe a day like yesterday?
Oh right - It all started with me missing the GO bus by about a minute (as per usual). I was already late, and then the traffic was bad, so I ended up being late by about two hours. But, I got to YorkIn one peice, walked over to Winters and saw Jared and Josh sitting there in the window.
Yes, indeed, Mr. Joshua James Comer, whom I had not seen in about a year was at York. And from there, things really took off. The first thing we did was hit the beer store. We sat in chairs drinking warm imports staring at the class across the way from Jared's room. Something that has not happened to me in a long time happened in Jared's room. The fabric of my pants ripped - not the seam of teh pants, but the very fabric itself died out on me. I though about it, and realised that in the seven or so times that this has happened to me in my life, Josh has been present for ever single last occasion. It's a terrible conincidence.
Eventually, after i tried to staple my pants together (I was only moderatley successful) we went to the restaurant for dinner and ended up sitting there, Jared, Candice, Josh, myself and variously a few other people that moved in and out of the conversation. We talked about old times. We talked about where people are now days, and what they are up to these days, and we drank more beer.
Then we went back to Jared's room and listened to some of his latest recordings and they were pretty good. After that, we decided to go downtown to see a band called Run With The Kittens. They play at this place on Queen street every tuesday night. They might very well be the most intense indie rock preformance I have ever seen. They transcend Genre. I cannot make up some fictionalised genre like "post-emo sci-fi core" or "Post-grunge folk Rock" for them. They are just plain too weird and good for a genre. Incidently, a guy I went to high school with and hadn't talked to in a few a years was there as well, so the old times were really rollin' last night.
It was a damn good day.
